Boat Safety with Dogs

what about a ESA dog my dog is a ESA dog and I was told by a cop in the hospital she was not a service animal ESA is nothing but I have a doctor's note to prove it and the cop did not care.

If I need to register my dog and have him trained for my ptsd and anxiety, would he be considered a ESA or other?
